Wives of Armor Receives Arvest Foundation Grant

Wives of Armor will purchase new equipment, systems in police vehicles, and other needs of the officers thanks to a $5,000 donation from the Arvest Foundation.

The gift was announced today at the Russellville Police Department. Shawn Bates, community bank president of Arvest Bank was on hand to present the check to Melanie Ewing, executive treasurer of the Wives of Armor.

“With the generous donation of the Arvest Foundation funds, Wives of Armor will be able to expand our opportunities to serve and support our area law enforcement agencies,” stated Jillian Tucker, president of Wives of Armor.

“We are pleased to present this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation to support the Wives of Armor, who have dedicated their time to serve and honor our local officers.” Bates said. “This donation is just one of many we have made throughout the area. It demonstrates the foundation’s ongoing support to our local law enforcement and first responders.”
