Library patrons in the Springdale area will have an updated information and reference desk thanks to an $11,700 donation from the Arvest Foundation.

The gift was announced today at the Springdale Public Library. Chris Thornton, Julie Shook, Kent Williamson and Paula Wilson of Arvest Bank were on hand to present the check.

The funds will help the library with much-needed renovations and allow the library to:

  • Have more space for staff
  • Combine the information and reference desks
  • Streamline the customer experience

“Arvest Bank is excited to help the Springdale Public Library with its renovations,” said Paula Wilson, commercial loan manager for Arvest in Springdale and vice president of the Public Library Board. “Combining the information and reference desks will provide additional space for staff and will be more efficient in serving the public.”

“We are pleased to present this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation to support the library’s renovation efforts,” said Julie Shook, sales manager for Arvest in Springdale. “This donation is just one of many we have made throughout the area. It demonstrates the foundation’s ongoing commitment to our community.”
