The funds will help Madison County Youth Baseball make improvements to the facility at Whithrow Springs Park. Plans are to make the following enhancements:

  • Replace dugouts;
  • Replace outfield fence;
  • Replace scoreboard;
  • Lighting maintenance and
  • Minor dirt work.

 “The Arvest Foundation’s generosity will allow us to improve the baseball park grounds our children play baseball on,” said Eric Judy, president of the Madison County Youth Baseball Board. “The Madison County Youth Baseball program has grown considerably in the last few years and we have seen several more children and parents interested in becoming part of our program. By enhancing our capabilities, we can continue to grow more successful to help shape and have a positive impact on our youth.”

 “We are pleased to present this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation to support the Madison County Youth Baseball efforts to improve the grounds local youth play baseball on. This donation will further the success in helping the program grow,” said Matt Smith, Arvest Bank president in Huntsville. “This donation is just one of many we have made throughout the area. It demonstrates the foundation’s ongoing commitment to youth in the region.”
