The local fire station in De Queen will be able to supplement their equipment with a $5,000 donation from the Arvest Foundation.

The gift was announced today at the Arvest Bank open house in De Queen. J Bigham, Patti Boone, and Ted Sheets of Arvest Bank were on hand to present the check.

The Arvest Foundation donation will allow the City of De Queen Fire Department to purchase specialized equipment for the volunteer fire department.

The De Queen Fire Department Chief, Dennis Pruitt, said, “My fellow firefighters and I are very appreciative of the donation. Patti and her team offered the money without the department’s request. The money will go towards purchasing pressure fans and equipment to detect heat in power lines by evaluating voltage levels.”

“We are pleased to present this donation to the De Queen Fire Department on behalf of the Arvest Foundation,” said Patti Boone, branch sales manager at Arvest Bank. “We appreciate all that the fire department does to keep the city safe and wanted to show our appreciation to them by donating the foundation funds.”
