The Arvest Foundation recently presented the city of Yellville with a donation in the amount of $10,000. The donation will go towards the addition of a splash pad at a local city park. The slash pad will feature a large water park area with water toys that look similar to giant water guns, umbrellas and archways.

The gift was announced Nov. 5 at the Yellville city board meeting. Several Arvest Bank associates were on hand to present the check to Park Chairman Lyn Baker and other board members from the Yellville City Parks Commission.

“This splash pad area will be a great benefit to the families in our community,” said Mike Willard, president and CEO of Arvest Bank in north central Arkansas. “Arvest takes pride in living up to its name as a community bank and we want to show our support for the local community.”

“This park will be a safe place to play in the water in the hot summer months for the children of our community for many years to come,” said Shawn Lane, mayor of Yellville. “We are grateful to the Arvest Foundation for this wonderful donation to this great project.”
