A $15,000 donation from the Arvest Foundation was presented to the NorthWest Arkansas Community College Foundation to name two meeting rooms located on the first floor in the NWACC Washington County Center in Springdale. These rooms will be used by faculty, staff, students, and the community.

The gift was announced recently at the construction site of the new NWACC Center in Springdale. Kent Williamson, Matt Harger and Jacob Barnes of Arvest Bank were on hand to present the check to Brenda Green, associate vice president, NWACC Washington County Programs, Evelyn Jorgenson, NWACC president, Mike Luttrell, NWACC Foundation board chair and Joe Spivey, NWACC board of trustee chair.

“NWACC is so appreciative of this support from the Arvest Foundation for our new facility in Washington County, and the difference it will make for so many students in the region,” Jorgenson said.

“Community support for this project is vitally important to its success, and we thank Arvest for its commitment to affordable and accessible education for all northwest Arkansas residents,” said Mike Luttrell, NWACC Foundation board chair.

“We are pleased to present this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation to help support the expansion of NWACC,” Williamson said “This donation is just one of many we have made throughout the area. It demonstrates the foundation’s ongoing commitment to support education in the region.”
