Russellville Fire Department Receives Arvest Foundation Grant

The Russellville Fire Department will be able to purchase the initial equipment that is needed for the Russellville Junior Firefighter Challenge thanks to a $5,000 donation from the Arvest Foundation.

The gift was announced today at the Russellville Fire Department Central Station. Shawn Bates, community bank president of Arvest Bank was on hand to present the check to Chief T. Kirk Slone of the Russellville Fire Department.

“We want to thank the Arvest Foundation for this gracious donation,” Slone said. “Their commitment to enhancing the quality of life in our community will help make the Russellville Junior Firefighter Challenge a reality.”

“We are pleased to present this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation to support the Russellville Fire Department, which has dedicated its time to implement the Russellville Junior Firefighter Challenge to inspire our youth.” Bates said. “This donation demonstrates the foundation’s ongoing support to our local first responders and to enhance the quality of life in Russellville.”
