Arvest Bank is proud to share the news that Michelle Fittro has been named the Northwest Arkansas Business Women’s Conference Young Woman of the Year.

Fittro currently serves as media strategist for the bank group, meaning she leads strategic planning, purchasing and tracking of media buys for the entire bank group, among other responsibilities. Fittro is the first person to hold the job of media strategist at Arvest, and counts it as one of her proudest accomplishments.

That’s saying a lot considering the praise she received from the 2017 NWA Business Women’s Conference Awards Committee.

“Michelle Fittro is a trailblazing financial professional whose philanthropic spirit and community involvement has made Northwest Arkansas a better place to live and work,” the committee wrote. “We hope that her spirit of leadership and genuine heart for service will inspire others to give back to our community.”

Many of us at Arvest already knew and appreciated these traits, of course. They have been evident since Fittro joined Arvest in 2007 as the Bentonville marketing manager.

Since then, Fittro has amassed an impressive list of achievements here at Arvest, including establishing the marketing department for the Greater Kansas City market and being responsible for developing and implementing the customer communication and experience plan for three bank conversions. A few of Fittro’s other Arvest-related highlights include:

  • Arvest First Leadership Steering Committee member
  • Arvest Bank mentor (2014-2015)
  • Arvest Bank Sales and Service Award recipient in GKC (2010-2013)
  • Arvest Heart of the Bank Award recipient in GKC
Her work in the communities in which she’s lived has been equally impressive. A few of the ones that led to her young woman of the year honor are:
  • Northwest Arkansas Business Journal Forty Under 40 honoree (2016)
  • artinfusion Council Advisor (Crystal Bridges)
  • NWA Emerging Leaders member
  • Bentonville Library Foundation
  • Leadership Benton County Task Force member
  • Rogers Rotary Club
  • Jones Center for Families Millennial Focus Group Committee
Fittro will be presented with the 2017 Young Woman of the Year Award during the sold-out Northwest Arkansas Business Women’s Conference on Tuesday, Sept. 12, at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers.
In the meantime, please join us in congratulating her for this prestigious and well-deserved honor.
