Arvest Bank is pleased to announce three of its associates recently graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University (LSU).

David McBee, Kerry Meythaler and Summer Massey were among the 164 bankers who received diplomas on June 2. This year’s class included students from 18 states and Mexico.

McBee is sales manager and executive vice president in Arvest’s North Central Arkansas market, while Massey is loan manager and executive vice president in its Springfield, Mo., market. Meythaler serves as senior bank group credit analyst and offices in Lowell.

The three-year program provides courses covering all aspects of banking, economics and related subjects, according to a news release issued by the school. Also according to the release, the school is sponsored by 15 southern state bankers associations in cooperation with the Division of Continuing Education at LSU.

On-campus attendance is required, with extensive bank study assignments between sessions. The faculty consists of bankers, business and professional leaders, and educators from all over the United States.

During their three years at the school, students receive 180 hours of classroom instruction, 30 hours of reviews, planned evening study, and written final examinations at the end of each session.

Congratulations to all! I graduated from The School of Banking in the South (before the name change) in 1983, and believe me, it is quite an accomplishment!
