Arvest Bank is pleased to announce that marketing manager Amy Howe has been selected by the Joplin Regional Business Journal as a member of its 2017 class of Most Influential Women. This marks the 11th year for the annual awards.
For those who may not know Howe, she began her career at Arvest in April 2010 as a marketing specialist in Benton County. In 2012, she moved to Joplin to take her current position.
Since then, she’s been busy making her mark not just on Arvest, but the communities she serves as well. Internally, she has served on the 1 Million Meals executive committee for six years, including three as co-chair. Howe also has served as chair and co-chair of the bank’s Marketing Peer Group, among a host of other roles she’s willingly accepted.
Howe’s external work has been equally – if not more – impressive. She has helped Arvest reach hundreds of children by leading the bank’s American Bankers Association-backed “Teach Children to Save” program, been a tireless United Way fundraiser, and helped organizations such as Joplin Regional Chamber of Commerce and Freeman Health Systems.
Perhaps above all, Howe has done all of this with a smile on her face. It turns out that smile, so familiar to those who know her, is the result of Howe’s longstanding commitment to having a positive influence on whoever and whatever she encounters.
“We have a choice in leadership to have a bad attitude or a good attitude,” she said, “and we make the decision every day.”
Arvest is happy to congratulate Howe on her recent honor and, more importantly, to appreciate the influence she has on us and those we serve – every day.
