We're proud to be the presenting sponsor of this shred event in Tulsa, Okla.

TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Crime Stoppers will host the first annual Shred-To-Protect event on Saturday, May 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free event aims to reduce financial fraud in Tulsa by safely destroying paperwork that leaves victims vulnerable to scams and identity theft. The event is made possible by presenting sponsor Arvest and through a partnership with event sponsor Green Country Shredding and Recycling, as well as, event host and sponsor Promenade Mall. Additional sponsors include QuikTrip and Reasor’s.

Participants may drive in to the Promenade Mall Southwest parking lot (4107 S. Yale Avenue) between the former Macy’s and next to McDonalds. Items will be gathered by volunteers from Arvest Bank, Tulsa County Sheriff’s Department, Tulsa Police Department, and Tulsa Crime Stoppers to be shredded on-site.

Shred-To-Protect is not only a resource for the Tulsa community but also a fundraiser for Tulsa Crime Stoppers. Donations for the Tulsa Crime Stoppers program will be accepted at the site. The non-profit program supports local law enforcement agencies by offering anonymous cash rewards to individuals who can help solve felony crimes, including crimes of financial fraud and identity theft. Residents and businesses will be invited to unload up to two boxes or three paper bags of documents from their vehicle that will be shredded on-site with deputies and officers present. Those unable to donate are still encouraged to take advantage of this free service. Participants will also receive coupons for area businesses.

To anonymously report suspects involved in committing financial crime, tipsters may call Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS (2677), log on to*, or submit a tip through the  free Tulsa Tips app available in the iTunes Apple or Google Play stores.
