Donated items go to backpack program.

EUFAULA, Okla. – Arvest Bank is pleased to announce a collaboration with Eufaula Elementary School to benefit its backpack program that provides meals and snacks to students in need.

The Arvest branch at 110 S. 1st Street in Eufaula will sponsor a pizza party for the Eufaula Elementary School classroom that collects the most items for the backpack program from April 24-May 5.

Donated items that qualify for the contest are as follows:

- Individually packed instant oatmeal

- Granola bars

- Individual portions of chocolate or vanilla pudding (lunchbox-ready)

- 7.5-ounce cans of entrees such as SpaghettiOs

- Stew, soup, Vienna Sausage

- Easy mac & cheese

- Individual fruit cups or applesauce (lunchbox-ready)

- Beef sticks (mild)

- Individually packaged fruit snacks or Fruit Roll-ups

- Breakfast bars

- Beef or chicken ramen noodles

- Juice boxes

The contest is part of Arvest’s seventh annual 1 Million Meals initiative, which aims to raise at least one million meals for those suffering from food-insecurity throughout its four-state footprint. To participate, customers and community members can donate nonperishable food items or make monetary donations at any Arvest branch or call (866) 952-9523. Arvest credit card customers also can donate Arvest Flex Rewards™ points by visiting and clicking on the 1 Million Meals banner. Every dollar raised through 1 Million Meals provides the equivalent of five meals for those in need.
