Sisters Pat Bottorff and Jane Winslow have made more than 1,500 memory bears to help families dealing with loss. Their attention to detail and their love of making the bears overflows to the recipients and helps with the healing process. Check out these special bears and how recipients feel when they receive one.

Pat and Jane work with Hospice Compasses in Springfield, Mo., to distribute their bears. If you’d like to learn more about making memory bears at Hospice Compasses, contact Deborah Peiffer. You can also contact your local hospice organization to see what programs you can be involved in or start in your area.

Pat and Jane’s story is part of Arvest Bank’s People Helping People series featuring citizens giving back to their community.

Keep an eye on our social media channels for both videos and written stories highlighting the good works of dedicated citizens in the communities Arvest Bank serves.
