People Helping People. This is the goal of Arvest Bank associates every day. It’s also the focus of amazing men, women and children who are making an impact by helping others locally in newsworthy ways. We strive to create a culture that inspires and supports our neighbors who share the desire to serve others.

In this spirit we’ve launched our People Helping People series to celebrate individuals in the communities we serve who are uniquely making a difference. Check out our social media channels for both videos and written stories highlighting the good works of dedicated citizens.

We’re pleased to kick off this series with Ron King, who refurbishes bikes for kids. Ron’s philosophy is that every kid deserves a bike, so he set out to make it happen. With the help of volunteers, he’s refurbished and given away more than 11,000 bikes in the past eight years.

Our next inspiration – sisters Pat Bottorff and Jane Winslow who put love, time and thought into creating more than 1,500 memory bears for families dealing with the loss of a loved one through hospice care.

Visit Arvest on YouTube to view these and future videos in the series.

We’ve also formed working relationships with local online publications to bring you exciting written stories. Our first piece by the Owassoisms* features Mathew Davis and his efforts to provide a new flagpole for the Barnsdall, Okla. library. The library hadn’t been able to raise the American flag for 50 years due to a broken flagpole. Davis took it upon himself to fix the pole and provide a new flag.

You can help us spread the word about these inspiring community members! Share our video and written stories on social media! Each time a new story appears, we’ll post about it on the Arvest Blog, Arvest Bank Facebook Page and Arvest Bank Twitter account. Share, like and retweet these posts/tweets!

We’re excited to highlight fascinating individuals who are doing great things in the communities Arvest Bank serves!
