We're excited to see Gene Gates grow his career with Arvest in Fayetteville, Ark.!

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arvest Bank in Fayetteville is pleased to announce that Gene Gates has been promoted to senior vice president, area loan manager at the Arvest Bank at 2761 East Mission Boulevard. 

Gates joined Arvest Bank in October 2014 as a commercial banker. Previously, he was executive vice president of lending with BancorpSouth in El Dorado.   

“Gene has been an important addition to our team here in Fayetteville,” said Craig Shy, regional loan manager for Arvest Bank in Fayetteville. “He has proven himself a diligent and helpful guide to our customers and he truly demonstrates our commitment to top-level customer service each and every day.”

A native of Monticello, Gates graduated from Drew Central High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in business from the University of Arkansas at Monticello in 1984.

Gates is the past Arkansas Ducks Unlimited Zone chairman for South Arkansas, former vice president of the Southeast Arkansas Health Foundation, past chairman of the Monticello City Planning Commission, and a former commissioner to the Drew County Election Commission. He also served as a past member of the Credit Committee for the Arkansas Bankers Association.

He and his wife, Amanda Gates, have two children, Madelynn and Jay, who both attend the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. The family attends Cross Church.
