Some citizens, like Cookie Arbuckle, are so extraordinary that even after they’ve passed away their legacy continues to help people. Cookie passed away in 2010, but her 76 years of compassionate charity during her life laid the foundation for this year’s volunteers who will serve more than 1,000 Thanksgiving meals to people affected or infected by AIDS/HIV. Read the full story about Cookie’s legacy at The Oklahoman*.

Cookie Arbuckle’s story is part of Arvest Bank’s People Helping People series featuring citizens giving back to their community.
