Join us Friday, Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. for our Friday Financial Forum. We will meet at the Friday Forum Room at Arvest's East Side Branch, located at 4225 S.E. Adams Rd. in Bartlesville, Okla.*

This week our featured speakers will be Oklahoma State Sen. John Ford, State Rep. Earl Sears and State Rep. Travis Dunlap who will be presenting information for the seven state questions appearing on the upcoming Nov. 8 general election ballot.  

Sen. John Ford was elected to the State Senate in November 2004, and re-elected without opposition in 2008 and 2012, and due to term limits, he is serving his final term. Sen. Ford has been involved with a wide range of policy initiatives, ranging from issues impacting aging citizens to his advocacy for Oklahoma’s children and excellence in education. He has received many accolades resulting from his dedication and tireless service to District 29 and the citizens of his home town of Bartlesville. Sen. Ford and his wife, Mary, reside in Bartlesville and are the proud grandparents of four 10-year-old grandchildren!

Rep. Earl Sears was elected to the House of Representatives in 2006, following retirement from a 32-year career in education as a teacher and administrator in his hometown of Bartlesville. He has run unopposed in the general elections to date. Rep. Sears has worked successfully on a variety of issues facing his constituents in District 11, as well as showing his commitment to the state of Oklahoma with his leadership in serving as the chair of the Appropriations and Budget Committee and Joint Appropriations and Budget Committee. Rep. Sears and his wife, Jane, reside in Bartlesville.

Rep. Travis Dunlap was elected to his first term in the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 2014, representing District 10 constituents in Nowata, Osage and Washington counties. Rep. Dunlap has been instrumental in advocating successfully for issues facing District 10 and being an important liaison with information on progress of policy initiatives affecting his constituents and the state as a whole. He currently serves as vice chair of the Environmental Law Committee and serves on the A & B Human Services, Economic Development, Commerce and Real Estate, and Tourism and International Relations Committees. Rep. Dunlap and his wife, Sophie, reside in Bartlesville.
