Join us for Folk & Food in Springdale, Ark. so you can enjoy music, food and fun!

The Downtown Springdale Alliance (DSA) has joined the team of Warehouse 54, Fairlane Station and Eve Smith to produce Folk & Food, a unique Springdale community gathering that features live music, food trucks and various activities.

Hosted at Fairlane Station (108 Graham St.) every third Sunday of the month from 5pm – 8pm, the inaugural season produced by the partnership is slated to run from July – November 2015. The team will also be looking to other downtown businesses to host additional Folk & Food programs over the course of the next year to help grow the impact of the event. In addition, the events are also exploring various themes that will align with fundraising support for charity and educational initiatives in Springdale.

“We started this event as a way to bring the community together and highlight downtown Springdale in a cool new way,” said Daniel Faires, owner of Fairlane Station and co-founder of the event. “Partnering with the Downtown Springdale Alliance helps to stabilize and grow the event to match the expanding downtown excitement.”

The first event will be held on Sunday, July 19th and invites people to attend with their furry friends, offering kiddie pools and misting stations to help cool off pets. All pets must remain on a leash. Featured music includes the Northwest Arkansas based eclectic folk band Aisle 24. Featured food will include the Nomad’s Natural Plate and hand crafted ice cream from Pure Joy.

The core team of Daniel Faires, his brother Tim Faires of Warehouse 54 and Eve Smith will continue to provide artistic direction of the program, while DSA will provide administrative and management support. Tyson Foods, the Springdale Advertising and Promotions Commission, First Security Bank, Arvest Bank, the DSA Board of Directors and KFB Events have already pledged their help to grow the 2015 season.
