Announcing Arvest Flex Rewards™

Arvest Bank is excited to announce we’ll be launching a new rewards program, Arvest Flex Rewards™, this fall. In an effort to bring greater value to your rewards program, this more robust platform will feature:

  • No annual membership fee. Join the program for free, and enjoy no annual fee.
  • Cash-back opportunities. Redeem Arvest Flex Rewards™ for credit card statement credits or deposits into your checking account.
  • New travel redemption categories. Includes most airlines, hotel chains and car rental facilities with availability, as well as cruises and other travel packages.
  • A significantly expanded pool of gift card brands. Redeem points for gift cards from more than 50 merchants, including retailers, restaurants, airlines and hotels.
  • The ability to redeem points at lower thresholds. Cash-back and gift card categories will require fewer points for redemption. Cash-back redemption opportunities for personal credit card holders start at 2,500 points and some gift cards at 5,000 points. 
  • The ability to pay for travel with a combination of points and your Arvest credit card.
  • Bonus points. Customers will have special opportunities to earn bonus rewards points throughout the year.
  • A dynamic online customer interface. Along with a new look and feel, the Arvest Flex Rewards™ website will feature improved navigation and rewards redemption experience.

Are points paid on everything you use the card for? I think I a not sure why I have not been in the know about the point system. Age I suppose. Thank You Judy Huse

Judy - Thanks for your interest. Arvest Flex Rewards™ will earn 1 point per $1 spent on credit card transactions.

J. Robinson - Thanks for reaching out to us. The only requirement to have Arvest Flex Rewards™ is to have an Arvest credit card. Until Oct. 19, 2015, customers must also enroll in the program.

This is for credit cards only, it does not include purchases on your debit card even if you submit it as a credit purchase?

Fran - You are correct. This does not apply to any transactions or purchases made with your debit card.

Loren - As long as you have an Arvest Credit Card and are currently enrolled in rewards, the points will transfer to the new Arvest Flex Rewards™ program.

If you have reward points now by using a debit/check card what happens to those points earned. If you don't have an Arvest credit card, will they go to an Arvest credit card if one is applied for or do they just disappear.

Doug - Thanks for your interest. Debit card only Rewards customers will need to have acquired a credit card by Aug. 1, 2015 to be automatically transitioned into the new Arvest Flex Rewards program. All accumulated points will be transitioned to the new program. Customers will no longer earn points for debit card transactions beginning Aug. 1, 2015. Customers interested in continuing to earn points will need to acquire a credit card. Customers who do not get a credit card will have until March 31, 2016, to redeem their points. They must have the normal redemption values to redeem their points. If they do not have enough points then they will be forfeited as of March 31, 2016.

Will there be a partial refund of the annual fee that was paid only a few months ago under the old rewards program?

Robert - Debit card customers who do not open an Arvest Credit Card account by 7/31/15 and who paid for their Arvest Rewards on an annual basis will receive a pro-rated refund of that charge. All refunds will be credited to their account that is usually debited for the fee in August 2015. Customers will receive a refund for each month of the year they were unable to earn reward points. They will receive 1/12 of the fee for each month. Consumer rewards will be paid $2.08 per month and Corporate Rewards will be paid $4.17 per month. Remember that customers will no longer earn points for their debit card transactions starting July 31, 2015. Credit card customers will not get a fee reimbursement as they will continue to earn points and be eligible to redeem them.

I have had a debit card for the last few years or so and my question is I never knew of this reward program until I saw this on your site today., in this re: do I or did I ever have been in this program?

This feels like yet another dilution of a rewards program. Why are you taking away debit cards as a source?

David - We understand change can be difficult. Though our new Rewards program doesn't include debit cards, we feel the new perks make it a more robust program with enhanced options and benefits. We hope you'll give it a try!

Arvest you are forcing your customers to get credit cards in order to participate in your rewards program. Seems to me like the interest would make the "reward" not so valuable. Maybe it is time to find a new bank.

I just tried to log into the rewards program to check my point balance. My old codes do not work with the new program, we have a credit card and have for years and I have not received any information on the new program/changes, etc . . . Help!
