Celebrating Pi Day in North Central Arkansas

Arvest Bank will be celebrating Pi Day by serving pie at all North Central Arkansas and West Plains, Mo. Arvest branches on March 13, 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Stop by for a slice of your favorite pie!

National Pi Day will be on March 14, 2015. Pi, often represented by the Greek letter π, is a mathematical constant, the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, commonly approximated as 3.14159. Pi day has been celebrated for years and is actually celebrated on March 14 yearly. This year the date will be 3/14/15, the first five digits in the Pi sequence, making this year very special. The day becomes even more unique at exactly 9:26:53 a.m. These numbers are the following five digits in the number. 
Arvest branches in the following towns will serve pie: Bull Shoals, Ark.; Flippin, Ark.; Harrison, Ark.; Lead Hill, Ark.; Mountain Home, Ark.; West Plains, Mo.; and Yellville, Ark. We hope you’ll stop by!

My granddaughter was born on March 14 eight years ago. Not sure if the exact moment of birth butit was pretty close 9:26:53 PM. We will celebrate that exact instnat.

I will celebrate by running my cat in circles with a laser pointer at 9:26:53 tomorrow
