Small Business Education Series in Kansas City on June 20

Calling small business owners and entrepreneurs in Greater Kansas City! You are invited to attend a session in Arvest’s Small Business Education Series targeted to businesses that have been in business one to five years.

This is the second class in a four-part series and will provide education on tools and resources available to businesses to ease their growing pains. We will discuss leasing equipment versus buying, payroll and benefit options, an introduction to treasury management and options for the business owner. This will be a classroom-style class that will allow for questions at the end of each speaker’s presentation. 

The session will be held on June 20, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Central Exchange* located at 1020 Central St. Suite 100, Kansas City, Mo. Please register* and pay for the event online.

Here’s a preview of the guest speakers.

Eric Bunnell, Arvest Equipment Finance
Eric grew up on a family farm in Trenton Mo., and received a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Economics from the University of Missouri. Eric joined the Arvest Equipment Finance (AEF) team in October 2012 and has over 10 years of experience in commercial lending. Eric works with the Arvest Commercial Lenders and vendors on their equipment finance transactions in the Kansas City, Mo.; Springfield, Mo.; and Joplin, Mo., regions. Most recently, Eric passed the exam to become a Certified Leasing Professional in October 2014. Eric and his wife, Kristin, live in Paola, Kan., with their two daughters, Ellie (10) and Kate (7).

In 2013, AEF ranked among the top 100 largest equipment finance and leasing companies in the United States by MonitorDaily, the leading publication of the equipment leasing and finance industry. Monitor 100 is published annually and ranks the largest equipment leasing and finance companies based on net assets and new business volume.

Anthony Osborn, Employer Advantage
Anthony is from Carthage, Mo., and attended Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Mo. He spent four years of his career in workforce development with the Missouri Career Center and Workforce Investment Board as a business representative. Anthony joined the Employer Advantage team last July as the director of business development. He is a people person and enjoys networking at chamber events. Anthony now lives in Webb City, Mo., is married, has a daughter who is turning 2 in August and is looking forward to all of the challenges fatherhood will bring.  

Jennifer Wilkins, Arvest Bank
Jennifer has over 18 years banking experience on the retail and commercial side. She currently holds the position as Senior Vice President of Treasury Management, and is directly responsible for managing the Treasury Management Department for the Kansas City region. Since joining Arvest Bank in 2009, her primary focus has been building commercial relationships through joint efforts with the commercial lending team. Jennifer graduated from Missouri Southern State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance. She is actively involved with Central Exchange, Shadow Buddies Foundation and the Association of Financial Professionals. She currently resides in the Kansas City area.
