Arvest basketball tournament brings teams from three states to compete in Rogers, Ark., Dec. 11-13, 2014.

ROGERS, Ark. — The Arvest Hoopfest basketball tournament has officially released the brackets for this year’s tournament. The annual Arvest Hoopfest basketball tournament will be held in Rogers from December 11-13, 2014.

As in past years Hight-Jackson Associates PA will continue to be the presenting sponsor for the tournament.

Teams participating are Rogers High School; Rogers Heritage High School; Pea Ridge High School; Fort Smith Southside High School; Mt. Vernon High School, Mt. Vernon, Mo.; Webb City High School, Webb City, Mo.; Waynesville High School, Waynesville, Mo.; and Tulsa Edison High School, Tulsa, Okla. This is the seventh consecutive year teams from outside of Arkansas have participated.

The tournament will be held at Rogers Heritage High School beginning at 4 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Trophies are presented to the top three teams, as well as individual medals.

“We look forward to the Arvest Hoopfest each year as a wonderful tradition for our players and the participating teams. The early season tournament helps hone the skills of our student-athletes before they jump into the regular season,” Mark Holderbaum, athletic director, Rogers Public School System said.

Waynesville High School won the tournament last year.
