Join Us for Women’s Certifications 101 in Kansas City, Mo.

Arvest Bank — in partnership with Belger Cartage Service, Central Exchange and Cornerstone Insurance Company — is pleased to present the Women’s Certifications 101, which will focus on unscrambling the alphabet soup of certifications to open doors to new business opportunities. This event will take place Oct. 29, 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at Belger Cartage Art Gallery located at 2100 Walnut St., Kansas City, Mo.

The event will be broken up into two sessions with a presentation by Denise Farris, attorney, between the sessions. Denise will present on avoiding malpractice exposure in M/W/DBE certifications.

Session one will feature the following panelists:

  • Denise Farris — WOSBE-EDWOSB, SBA
  • Celeste Metcalf — WBE & MBE, State of Missouri
  • Rhonda Harris — WBE & MBE, State of Kansas
  • Ashlea Blue & Andrea Dorch — City of Kansas City
  • Cynthia Johnson — WBENC

Session two will be facilitated by Kay Barnes, former mayor of Kansas City, Mo., and professor at Park University. The session will feature the following panelists:

  • Rosana Privitera Biondo — Mark One Electric
  • Lenora Payne — Technology Group Solutions
  • Mary McNanara — Cornell Roofing
  • Jeannette Prenger — Ecco Select
  • Tempe Harty — Wellbeing Midwest
  • Dianna Richardson — Richardson Hauling, Inc.
  • Joyce Christiano — Sprint
  • Valerie Coyazo — KCP&L
