Phoenix Insurance agency’s history in Bartlesville, Okla., began in 1926. Several family agencies merged through the years until 1996 when the Freiburger-Winslow agency was purchased by Paul A. Roll. Mr. Roll began working in the insurance industry in 1947 and recently celebrated 65 years in the insurance business. Mr. Roll brought his daughter, Lori Roll, into the agency management in 2003, and they renamed the agency, Phoenix Insurance. As long-time clients of Arvest, the Roll family has relied on trusted relationships with Arvest Bank personnel for business growth assistance and asset guidance.

Like the mythical bird rising from the ashes, Phoenix Insurance* began a transformation that today incorporates a handsomely renovated downtown building and seven licensed agents. While Phoenix remains Bartlesville’s oldest and largest independent insurance agency, it is the scope of services that sets Phoenix apart.

“I believe our historic success lies in the fact that we don’t just sell products,” said Lori Roll, president of Phoenix Insurance. “Our intent is to serve the person, their families, homes and businesses. We provide property, liability, professional and specialty insurance including but not limited to special events and cyber liability. We surround our clients with a cushion of protection. We seek to protect our clients in all areas of risk, including life, health, retirement and business succession planning. Of special interest to us are family owned businesses which have specific needs.”

In addition to her interest in family business and retirement planning, Lori’s 28 years of experience as a long-term care administrator have created a passion for long-term care insurance.

“My experience in the field lends me an intimate understanding of people’s needs, whether at home, an assisted living facility or a nursing home,” she said. “Long-term care insurance has come a long way, and we are helping people who understand that most of us – over 70 percent nationally – will need long-term care at some point in our lives. Lack of planning for our retirement years is financially disastrous.”
