Arvest Bank in Ottawa, Kan., was recently presented with the Business of the Year Award by the Ottawa Business and Professional Women during the quarterly InVESTing in Women luncheon. The award was given in recognition of the impact the InVESTing in Women luncheons have had on the Ottawa business community.

The first luncheon was held July of 2012 and featured Kay Barnes who spoke on leadership. Since then, the luncheons have attracted a regular attendance of between 50 and 80 businesswomen from the surrounding communities. The seminars provide a great networking opportunity and feature a speaker and a light lunch.

Michelle Smith with Arvest Bank is part of the six person team that organizes and plans the series. Barb Gibson from Ottawa Business and Professional Women presented the award to Arvest for their leadership and dedication to the InVESTing in Women seminars.
