Brashears Furniture is a third-generation family owned business that has been doing business in the Ozarks since 1938. Brashears’ original location is in Berryville, Ark., a town of just over 4,000 people. That location has grown to over 70,000 square feet of combined showroom and warehouse space which makes it one of the largest showrooms in Southern Missouri and Northwest Arkansas.

For three generations customers traveled from a wide area to shop in the Berryville store. It is a destination shopping experience located just 10 miles from the popular tourist town of Eureka Springs, Ark. Brashearshas two additional showrooms in Branson, Mo., and Springdale, Ark., with a total of just over 40 employees.

Brashears works hard to make the shopping experience unique and enjoyable. Customers are welcomed and greeted like friends and family with a cup of coffee and a warm cookie. Kids can watch a movie in the media room while their parents browse. Brashears prides themselves on their huge selection of merchandise, product quality, and knowledgeable staff.

“We try to provide furniture and design solutions to our customers,” said Susan Brashears, chief financial officer and human resource manager at Brashears Furniture. “We are fortunate to have many long-term employees in all aspects of our business—many with over 15 years of experience. Their knowledge and dedication really helps make us different from other stores.”

Over the years, Brashears Furniture has been recognized both locally and nationally by customers and the industry.

  • CitiScapes Magazine’s readers voted Brashears the Best Furniture Store in Northwest Arkansas in 2012.
  • In 2011, Brashears furnished two homes in ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in the Joplin, Mo., Makeover edition which replaced homes destroyed by a tornado.
  • In 2010, National Home Furnishings Association named Brashears the National Furniture Retailer of the Year (High Point, N.C.).
  • Brashears was included in 417 Magazine’s 2010 Idea Home for furniture and interior design.

  • Brashears was selected by ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition as a top participant in the Camp Barnabas Makeover edition.
“Arvest Bank has been our partner for many years,” Susan Brashears said. “Our local bankers are truly concerned about the success of our business. It’s been important for us to have a local banking relationship with a strong, forward thinking bank. I’m continually impressed with Arvest’s capabilities and the personalized solutions they provide for our business.”
