Once upon a time in 1883, a company called Leggett & Platt was formed on the creation of the first steel coil bedspring.  For almost 130 years now, the company has thrived throughout the country and beyond.  Leggett & Platt began its legacy in Carthage, Mo., where the company still calls home today.  However, they stretch far beyond their corporate office in Missouri.

Today, Leggett & Platt manages 130 branches and divisions in 18 countries, employs over 18,000 people, and manufactures everything from bedding to residential & office furniture, and even automotive seating.  Although the name of the company may not ring a bell, it’s likely that you’ve used many products that contain Leggett & Platt components.

Their ability to make ordinary products extraordinary by virtue of their components is what truly sets Leggett & Platt apartfrom competitors.  They have a broad understanding of their markets and work hard to learn what their customers want and need from them.  They also pride themselves on having great systems and processes in place to aid in keeping costs down and productivity up.  However, with all of that said, they admit that they owe all of their success to their culture of being a family-friendly company with reliable, hard-working employees.

Arvest is a valued partner to Leggett & Platt, providing a $25 million commitment to the $600 million revolver.  Arvest also offers Leggett & Platt employees a personal banking relationship that is invaluable, not only to their management, but to all its employees.
