Springfield, Missouri (July 13, 2011) — Arvest Bank announces that Shane Cowger, previously with Arvest Bank in Siloam Springs, has accepted the Senior Vice President and Sales Manager position for Arvest Bank in Springfield. He began his duties on July 5.
“Cowger’s experience with Arvest Bank and his active participation with community service organizations make him an ideal fit for Arvest Bank in Springfield,” said Rodney Shepard, President of Arvest Bank in Springfield.
Cowger has worked for Arvest for more than 12 years, starting in Joplin, Missouri, in 1999 in a variety of management positions, including Assistant Branch Manager and Treasury Management Manager. He moved to Miami, Oklahoma, as Community Bank President in 2003 where he was responsible for business development and commercial lending. In 2008, he moved to Siloam Springs as Sales Manager and Senior Vice President.
Cowger graduated from Carl Junction (Mo.) High School in 1991; earned his bachelors degree in marketing from Missouri Southern State University in 1996; and graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University in 2010.
He is married to Toni Cowger and the couple have four children; Kori (11), Maggie (9), Davis (4) and Josie (21 months).
Cowger has service on several community boards, such as the Siloam Springs Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and Arkansas Bankers Association Emerging Leaders Board, and has served as chair of the Siloam Springs Chamber of Commerce’s Economic and Development Board.
He has coached a Siloam Springs U-12 competitive girls soccer team in his spare time, and served as a mentor to young married couples through Cross Pointe Community Church in Tontitown.
